Upcoming Mountain Lion requirements for Mac appstore: Sandboxing and Developer ID. Any word on this?

I tried searching the forum to no avail, figured some others might be wondering as well. With Mountain Lion's release getting closer, I've gotten the emails saying to submit sandboxed Mac apps by June 1st, as well as the request to sign up for Developer ID.

I've read through Apple's FAQ, and they don't seem to require apps that are already on the Mac appstore to be sandboxed, but any apps submitted after June 1st will require it. What's the official word on this?

Okay so all they're saying is basically "submit your Mac App by June first". If it uses any of the new features such as GameCenter. If you do submit a Mac app with these new features, then youll have to "sandbox" It because these features are not live.
