Hello everyone,

Very soon, we will be releasing a new version of GameSalad Creator that will introduce a new process for publishing ad hoc and distribution builds for your games. This new Web Publishing will provide a smoother experience than the current publishing flow within GameSalad Creator.

Web Publishing will also offer users a much more powerful way to manage their portfolios, including access to archived versions of published projects and grouping cross-platform games together by title.

Changing publishing in this method requires us to drastically alter the way Creator and our publishing servers speak to one another. Unfortunately, this has also affected the way the dashboard accesses the servers where Community-built templates are stored and processed.

With the debut of the next version of GameSalad Creator, access to the full library of Community-built templates through the GameSalad dashboard will be temporarily inoperable. In the meantime, we will be introducing a temporary dashboard solution with access to the six most popular templates.

We want to stress that this situation is a temporary one, and we have full intention of restoring access to online Community templates at the first opportunity. This was an unexpected result of our switch to Web Publishing, and we already have designs in place on how to restore Community template access. We will be sharing those designs with the community at large next week.

At the same time, if there are templates that you use on a regular basis, we urge you to download them now and archive them on your local storage device so you can retain access while we work to resolve this issue.

Please note that this only affects Community-templates through the GameSalad dashboard. Access to third party template sites and GameSalad Marketplace through your web browser will not be affected in any way.

Why do you keep using that word? I do not think it means what you think it means.
