So, GameSalad Team, should I register as a Mac App Developer now? (YES!)

If the Mac App Developer process is like the iPhone Developer process, it can take about a week to complete. Ah, memories...

So, should I get that process started or is Mac App publishing a ways off?

(i edited the title to put a YES - jonmulcahy)

    that's a good question, GS team, I'd like to know this too. if it's coming out in a week or two, it'd be a good time to get started, if it's going to be next month we should wait so we don't waste our membership

    There not gonna reply to that.... (but they might if I write that)

    I'd wait till GS support it before signing up. You can still work on your game and get it ready, get promo videos ready. Then once its supported sign up and wait the 2 weeks for your dev account to approved.

    Otherwise your just wasting a new apple developer account until GS support it.

    @Photics and anyone else interested,

    YES! Mac App Store publishing is coming in the next release and will be out very soon. I was planning on putting that info into the Big Picture this week, which I still will, but here it is for everyone a little early.

    GameSalad will also run flawlessly on a Mac. Basically unlimited RAM. You will be able to have many more actors at once. Very exciting!

    Yeah, it's exciting. I can focus on making a great game, rather than wondering how it's going to work on a mobile screen.

    So, I'm thinking the process isn't that difficult the second-time around. It seems that they just tack on an additional setup to your existing account. I haven't registered yet. Maybe tomorrow I will.

    Correct :) You just add-on, pay and then go fill out your tax forms in itunes connect. I havent looked at setting up certificates yet
  • butterbeanbutterbean Member Posts: 4,315
    Yeah basically everything should be set up in itunes connect from the iOS paid apps, and then you just need to create 2 more certificates for the Mac App Developer, and Mac App Installer, make sure they're in your keychain, and wallah! You're ready to publish Mac apps!
    (They walk you through it on the Mac App Program Portal)
