Maybe its not totally live on the app store. I could not find it by your title. So downloaded Z for zombie and got to it that way

I gotta say. This is one the most polished GS ive stumble across.

Gameplay is very intuitive and fresh
    Easy controls and great ambiance.

Best of luck with this little gem.

Hope you Will Update us with some sales figures

Well, my 9 week old daughter decided it was morning, so here I am. Today is the day i see if all that hard work paid off, or if it's better to work on smaller apps :)

Here are some direct links for those interested.

    iPad Version: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/a-long-way-home/id416467783?mt=8&ls=1

    Mac Version: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/a-long-way-home/id442689434?mt=12&ls=1

it looks like me playing chicken with the release date worked. when i submitted last week i put a release date of 6/16. The iPad version was approved on the 13th, and the iPad version the 14th or 15th. Both times I let the release date of 6/16 stay.

Well, both apps are at the top of the new release list, showing 6/16 as the release date. This worked out perfectly. It allowed me to send out press releases, prerelease review requests and generate some buzz before it hit the app store.

6 mths ago this wasn't possible as the release date system was all sorts of messed up.

Thanks everyone. I'm really hopefully this will do well. I finished the game back in march and spend 2.5 mths polishing it up.

At 10am EST my press releases should be going out via prmac, I ended up sending out two of them, one for the iPad and one for the Mac, so it cost $40, the only money I have spent on marketing so far.

    Well see how today goes!

Ian did the planets, original asteroids ( as seen in the video. I scruffed them up with a texture)), space ships, computer, portals, stage select portal and the guy on the icon. I made the space backgrounds, and the black holes. I had to hire someone from elance to remake the main character after the gameplay changed and Ian was busy with his new addition.

I can't say how invaluable using testflight to beta test was. Those guys caught so many problems and suggest a ton of improvements. I feel like I can finally take a breath and see what I've missed over the past few mths in the gaming world.

You got New and Noteworthy in games!! Congratulations!! :)

The strange thing is, I see you're N&N under iPhone games, but it's for the iPad right? either way, it will boost sales, but I thought I was losing it for a minute.... anyone correct me if I'm wrong....

    That's an awesome review! :D

"While play ing, this game brought to mind many memor ies of movies and games, such as the lonely 2001: A Space Odyssey, the subtle sense of humour of old Spectrum titles, as well as the addict ive nature of clas sic platform games."

Who knew you were a Speccy fan, Jon? ;)

This is the money quote you should add to the game description on itunes:

"Not many mobile or tablet games actually evoke an emotional response, but this game does."

Been playing this game all day! What frustrates me is right before I hit that vortex I hit those asteroid fields. haha. This really is a relaxing and fun game to play. Hopefully you might make an iphone version too! I have been playing on the ipad.

I can honestly say I've never used a spectrum console :) but I have played similar titles on the pc. It was a very nice and in depth review, didn't expect something like that so it was a nice surprise.

Today I get to find out how well (or bad!) the game did :)

Thanks! I'm trying to think of how to do an iPhone Game. I had originally designed it for the iPad with a lot of zooming, but that didn't work too well. I'm going to revisit that idea now :)

No sales report yet, but according to Appannie, it's currently at 83 in adventure and 101 in arcade

But in Sweden it's sitting at number 7 in adventure!

Well, deal news picked up both of my iPad games to be featured in their daily free apps post:
    http://dealnews.com/iPad-App-Freebies-Army-of-Darkness-HD-Obliteration-HD-more/472317.html

Both of these games have an in app button that brings the to the iPad version, so hopefully that drives traffic!
