Snow animation

Hey guys,

I know this sounds really dumb, but I need a nice snow animation. It needs to be smooth.
I have looked all over and can't seem to find any.

    Have this you tried using particles?

    Go to some free gifs website or something,
    if not id try particles or animate it

    When you use particles you can use a multiple of actors to spawn these and pit them on differ t layers. One in front and one behind your other actors. This way the snow falls in front and behind the actors. Also making the one in the rear darker gives a depth effect.
    I have used this in one of my apps in development.

    Or if you don't want your game to look crappy with particle squares if you can draw a snow ball and then insert it in to the particles section and have particles as snowballs

    Search for "rain" from the creator. There's a nice animation for rain and snow.

    Thanks for the comments, but that demo for the snow won't work for my game, I need it to be smoother. Look at the game Bouncing Birds! it has a good idea what I would like.



    Go and look around 59 seconds into the clip.

    Use particles. Have a snowball image as the particle image, and set the size and speed to random. Youll be able to get the effect in the video no problem. You can also have more then one particle behavior if you wanted to have differnt snow in front and behind the character.

    My problem is that only 2 particles show up lol.
    And they are all in one spot.

    Please help.

    I see and downloaded the demo, but I dont see any actor containing the particles.
    I only see one actor ....

    its in the instant on the scene. Its invisible but it covers the whole scene

    Okay its working but when i complete a level, i have to restart the snow..so it takes a while for it to start snowing again, how do I fix it so when I go to level 2 it keeps snowing and I don't have to wait for it?
