Bad Phones

I have had my phone probably going on about 2 years and just like all phones (even though I don't drop this one and have taken good care of it) is starting to crap out. I'm going to take a guess and just go with that these phone companies (on they so called updates) upload (or already had upload after making it) viruses that cause the phone to crap out after a period of time of use. That's just my thought. Trying to force people to purchase another new phone so that they can keep their sales going. Obviously that sounds like something malicious to do, but I wouldn't put it past these phone manufacturers. I think computers are the same way. Regardless of how well you take care of it it seems like after a period of time the computers start becoming more and more cruddy. Seems like a rant and it kind of is. Getting sick of my phone for no reason freezing, shutting off and rebooting frequently, and its other issues it has. Lol kind of sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it does sound reasonable.

Whats your thoughts?

I don't think they need to do anything malicious. Most people will want to upgrade because of the new features or because they've broke their old phones. I've always taken good care of my computers and electronics and have never had the problems you mentioned. I'm very careful to remove spyware and if things do get to full of crap, you can always format your hard drive and reinstall. I've had to do that a few times. I've had a lot of power supplies go out over the years until I started using better power supplies.
Phones are the same way. You can hard reset them. I just sold an old iPhone 3g that ran as fast as the day I got it. My cousin, believe it or not is still using an original iPhone. Of course he can't do much with it, but all he uses it for is emails and phone calls.

Im guessing your old phone is not an iPhone.
