Code Signing Error 1

Hi,
I keep getting Code Signing Error 1 message when I try to sign my application. I tried fixing this problem by searching on the internet. I checked for duplicate items and deleted the expired ones, but the error still shows. Please help me fix my problem ASAP.
Thanks,
Neil

Are you using the most current version of xcode?

You have two iPhone developer certificates with the same name. One is in the system keychain and the other is in the logoin keychain. Just delete on and that will fix the issue.

Thus the error message IPhone developer Neil Mashruwala is ambiguous.

Ok, I found the duplicate certificate in keychain. It is an expired one in the system keychain, but it is not ready to delete. Every time I delete it, it just reappears. Please help me on how to fix that issue.
    Thanks,
    Neil

You need to delete it in the developer portal.

I don't exactly recall how to access the developer portal. Can you tell me how?

    Is that developer.apple.com?

Yes. It's where you made the certs and profiles. Delete the one duplicate.

There is no duplicate certificate in the dev portal. I said that it is in keychain access and isn't ready to delete. The expired duplicate certificate won't delete off my computer, thus causing the error.
