Hi i've update my system to Osx Catalina 10.15.7 but when i try to sign my MAC games i see this message:

I mean until yesterday with Mojave i never had issue about mac signing; i've all certificated on my mac... someone can please tell me if there is a way to sign unsigned MAC apps outside the GS publishing portal?

Unfortunately "iOS app signer" not works with mac apps :(

The unsigned app works fine.

Actually, is any GS user able to sign a Mac App with Catalina and Xcode 12.4?

    thanks.

Hi pinkio, I had the same problems with my games, no one could help me from the GS team 2 years ago, so I decided to remove all my GS games from the Mac App Store, a very very sad decision to take.

It would be so simple for them to resolve the issue, moreover the Mac App Store is today one of the best for indie developers because there are only a few apps compared to the mobile app stores

@gamevicci i hope that there is a way to sign mac apps outside GS portal or a fix by GS team.

I’m using macOS Bigsur 11.0.1 and I had no problem signing my apps to google or App Store

my Xcode is updated to latest version..

Try to use Transporter it’s working good for me, also go to “~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles” and delete all Provisioning Profiles there then open Xcode -> Preferences... -> select your account and press on Download Manual Profiles.

after that open keychain go inside “Login-> Certificates” and see if you have there your Apple Distribution Certificate, open it( if there is more then one open all and try to find something doubled and delete one of them also if you have there developer certificates with “X” delete them too.

(If you deleted all of your certificates - which is recommended):

after that download the distibution certificate again and press on it twice when Xcode is open, then try to sign you app again.

I hope that helps (it helped me with the same problem)

Do your certificate show as valid in keychain access?

Hi I've remove all certificate, provisioning profile and reinstall, yes i use transporter, i've Catalina 10.15.7 and Xcode 12.4

    Here my cert:

Maybe there is one that is wrong or is duplicated?

@Armelline honestly i think that my certificates are fine because until few days ago in Mojave all works fine today in Catalina i've this Mac signing issue and no one can solve this? honestly i think there is a way to sign mac packages outside GS portal probably with terminal.

Anyway with terminal i've signed my app in .pkg but when i try to upload it with transporter i've 7 issues probably i need a right setup with terminal... here the example:

Probably there is a "common issue" that not directly depend by the duplicate certificate or provisioning profile etc.. etc...

i mean: no alternative way to sign .app and have a signed .pkg to upload with transporter (like android method?)

However I find it strange that some users have "given up" the possibility to publish for Mac App Store when they have this kind of issue and that no one has definitively solved the situation ...

    Thanks again.

I ask about the ceritificate as I had one that stopped working and in Keychain Access it was listed as "Not trusted." This link led me to the fix: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/662300

Probably not the same issue if your certificates aren't complaining!

My certificate are valid (as you can see in my prev shoot; usually Not Trusted have a red X) so this not is my situation and about my WWDR: Yes is it the latest, (the expiration date is set to 2030) here one shot:

I think that the issue is into Catalina and GS; someone with Catalina is able to sign Mac Apps?

    thanks in advance.

While we look into the issue, this app might be helpful:

    https://www.araelium.com/dmgcanvas

It's what we use to package GameSalad Creator. We don't use its signing feature, but we do use the notarization feature. I'm not sure if it will work for an app store certificate, but in theory you could sign the app, open the dmg, remove it, and then repackage the app for app store upload.

Sorry but with "DMG canvas" i can't build .a signed pkg.

The LSApplicationCategoryType key is now being set. We made a change so iOS users could change it if they desired, but forgot to implement the change for macOS as well.
