Leaderboard and iCloud

Hi everyone, I have a question — I’m totally out of date.

There are two things I don’t know (or can’t remember) if they’re possible:


  1. If I define a leaderboard in the Apple game configuration, I remember it’s possible to update that leaderboard, but I can’t recall if it’s possible to download or read the current leaderboard data from the platform. Is that possible?
  2. Is there any way to save game progress to iCloud? I already save progress and settings locally, but is it possible to save and load that information from iCloud? Does GS have any way to handle that?

    1. no. Apple didn't make it easy, they wanted you to just pull up their leaderboard.
    2. right now no, but i can look into it. though if we implement something fast it will be a kind of "easy to shoot yourself in the foot" basic implementation.

    Thanks for the clarification! I understand that reading leaderboard data and saving progress to iCloud aren’t supported yet. It would be great to see these features added in the future.
