    On an ipad I would avoid more than 50 32x32 characters. Avoid spawn/destroy and keep in mind that music and sound fx will cause performance drop off.

    Hi Billyd1, there isn't any way of controlling layers in GS, I'm afraid. You'll have to make a workaround; either destroy actor and spawn a duplicate in front, or perhaps have a duplicate in the scene

    Thanks for the idea, but when I do that, it doesn't work at all because if i've released the mouse, the touch move rule doesn't work, and if I don't release it, the actor doesn't spawn.

    I don't do much with physics actions... but think if you spawned in place a new ball... things would keep up the pace... a [Rule] when collides ...spawn and then destroy old ball.

    1 on easy only has a few enemies (and they all spawn without problem) and new music doesn't start up or new images don't load, etc.

    There is a ton of stuff going on in the game: at least 100 25x25 blocks that simulate physics, and a metric crap load of missiles and lasers that spawn and destroy.

    hey I know you are disappointed right now BUT it might be possible the issue is something else and may not be that hard to fix. Possibly the ram use might be too high at parts in your game and a slimm
