Has anyone noticed if this hot fix fixes the issue with square actor collisions?

If your game is an "Actiony" type, where it's actively doing a lot of things, if the rules involve something like change attribute(self.hp) to (self.hp-{attribute.attack/attribute.de

collisions no longer work and apk seems to be running slower with the last update.

Why aren't you just saving game show banner to false? It looks like in the save the game attribute isn't show banner. See my video on iap. It will show you a better way to write the logic.
