Apple rejected app without emailing me the problem?

So I checked this morning to see my iTunes connect place and I click on manage apps , and I see my app rejected!
In shock I don't know what to do I spent 20 min looking through my email trying to find a email from apple, and nothing! I checked my phone to see if the called , and no missed calls
Is it legal for them to reject and not tell me it is ?
