    Yes if you spawn the actor or are you referring to an existing actor?

    other than spawning there is no way to change the order of actors within a layer that I can think of.

    I wanted to do drag-and-drop multiple actors. If spawn works, then I will need to spawn a new one and destroy the existing actor.

    it'd be nice if there was a z-index attr, like in CSS2. http://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_pos_z-index.asp

    everything would start at z-index 0, so setting it to a negative value makes it appear below unset objects, setting it to positive values makes it appear above unset objects. Higher z-index always beats lower z-index.
