GameSalad Particles?

Hey guys, new to the scene and I've been researching teh internets for more info on good 2D iphone engines. Seems like everyone loves GameSalad. One thing I can't find out about is if GameSalad has a built in particle system? Only videos I could find on youtube were very basic physics explosions with simple shapes.

Also anyone here have experience with both GameSalad and TGB? They sound very similar.

Thanks! :)

Check out this demo game for a good idea of what can be done with particles in GS.

To play, you have to install the free GS plugin and it only works for safari on a mac. Should be a link on the page when it loads.

Thanks, I'll check it out! Anyone have an educated opinion of how GameSalad and TGB compare? As an artist I've scripted levels with Blizzard games but that's the extent of my coding skills. I love the apparent ease of use GaneSalad offers but from reading the forums, it's still lacking some basic features while it's in beta.

Basic differences are price and ease of use.
GS has no code syntax to know. its just drag and drop and make it work.

Torque however is more established and perhaps less buggy and more optimized.

I think they both serve a purpose. I find GS to be ideal for early schematic game development (proof of concept) but if the game is complex...it may require a more optimized and scriptable game engine...like Torque.
