I really, I mean really, need the money Apple is withholding from me...
I mean, I'm glad they dropped the threshold to $150 worldwide, but really, they should just get rid of the threshold altogether, because still having a threshold dicks over people like me....
No, they should not do that, it will cause fees to go up. Besides, if you can't make $150 then perhaps you need to stop doing this?

You do know how hard it is to get people to buy a game on the App Store no matter how good or bad it is, right?
The name of the game is exposure, and that in and of itself is pretty much a catch-22, because the best way to have exposure is to have advertisements on the major app sites/blogs, and the only way for that to happen is if you have money. I currently have no money. No money = no advertisements. No advertisements = no sales. For crying out loud my last game was even a New & Noteworthy game(granted just in the Music game section, but still!), and was a pretty good game, and even that failed to sell.
Also, why the !@#$% would lowering the threshold to nothing make the fees go up?

I think TymeMaster is right on this one. Apple doesn't merely make %30 percent on our apps. By holding on to our earnings until they reach $150, that affords them quite a lot of potential interest on the money that they are banking. It's quite a genius plan and a win-win for everyone. Sure I'd like a lower threshold. But it's not like it makes much of a difference to me. I make the same amount no matter what. And if doing things this way allows for them to offer the win-win opportunity that is "The App Store" market. Then I don't see the problem. That's the way most on-demand markets like this are.... Only this is the only market like it on the planet! What you have access to here is simply mind blowing when you think of the possibilities. There's nothing else like it.
And I think the fees he's talking about are simply the credit card, bank processing fees. That stuff isn't free. Lowering the threshold would exponentially increase the number of processes that they have.
