Hi, I am looking for a screen recorder for a MAC to record my games for trailers. What do you guys use or could you suggest a recorder. I have looked around but cant really find a good recorder.

Preferably free?

Theres a few programs out there that ppl use. Like snapper or capture me. but if you have snow leopard you should be able to use quick time for free to do a full screen recording one of those two programs i mentioned lets you designate what part of the screen to record.
Those are some free options. Theres another program that a lot of ppl use that cost though.

When recording, do you record it off GameSalad preview?
I don't really understand this part.

Your recording what you are playing on the preview. Some program let you size a box and then place it over a certain are of your screen so you just capture what is happening inside that box and some just capture everything that happens on your whole screen.

I use ScreenFlow for Mac and DemoCreator for PC to record my screen, but both of them are paidware. And I'm afraid there is no freeware on Mac OSX while there are tons of stuff on Windows.

You can try web-based screen recorder like ScreenToaster, it records your screen with your browser. No need to install or pay. I'm not sure it works with GameSalad but have a try at first.
