ha ha I know I was only staying at the Union Jack Club about 5 minutes walk away you could even see the building I just didn't know what it was. 1 hour taxi across London on MayDay to the Royal Albert Hall when I said festival hall, anyway he didn't charge me thankfully.

I think the video is great. You look like you're having fun, which is one of the main reasons to use GameSalad... it's easier, makes life more enjoyable. The only part you messed up was with the camera offset, but that was corrected through the discussion. I think it's a good discussion.

The message in the video is important. Touch based controls is a lot better than fumbling with some alternative methods. My RPG uses touch based controls with a camera offset and I think it works great. (Heh, I'm not sure of combat though.) That's why I think these gatherings are cool. You get real-world explanations of GameSalad.

have fun today...weather looks pretty good...also you seem to of picked the worst possible day to meet up, 80,000 descending on London to see the pope in Hyde Park.

Maybe knock up a quick Pope themed game to celebrate the GameSalad meetup...how cool would it be if the Pope secretly used GameSalad....has anyone actually ever seen T-Shirt Booth, cold he be the pope? :-)

Game idea:
Pope racing in his pope mobil has to get across london in record time and avoid all the anti pope marches....bonus points for stopping off to meet the Queen, Prime Minister, GameSalad meeting.

Please film some drunken debate, and upload a few pics.

Anyway have fun.... (I'm now not moving till the 24th, so could of come, but instead of that excuse I'm now brilliantly ill, had 2 days off work, and the porcelain bowl is my new best friend..)

Many thanks to the people who showed up today. It was really nice to get positive comments on the games I am working on. Really nice to share views and drink beers.

Would be nice to see GS devs in London someday to talk about GS at a more technical developer level.

Sorry I couldn't make it, money and work got in the way... Had a 126 slide PowerPoint to turn into a website... Very, very boring, and gutted I couldn't get there as I was really hoping to meet the famous Quantum Sheep.

Will have to save my pennies for the next one... Hope you are all still out having fun, high five the pope for me!

I'd like to personally thank everyone who made it down!

So, er, thanks Binary Biscuits - it would have been rubbish without you!

So yep, it was just me and binary. JCFord got his dates mixed up, and I didn't even hear from anyone else.

So we sat out in the sun, drank lots of beer (thanks Binary!) and chewed the cud while I smoked my way ever closer to an early death.

Binary showed me a couple of iPad games he has on the go, which look very very nice and polished, I showed him the three iPhone games I want to finish by end of November (when my pro licence runs out) and even told him about Project AWE, the Xcode game that's on the cards.

All top secret stuff of course that can only be revealed in face to face meetings

So, we had a good time, but it wasn't really worth staying out late as we seemed to agree on a lot of stuff! No heated arguments or anything!

A very pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
