Performances on iPod

Hello
I'm having some problem with performances.
When I deploy my app on the iPod or if I test it with the viewer I have really slow behaviors even if the total memory is quite low (around 20mb) and the frame rate always keeps above the 40fps.
Differences are more evident on actors that resize at runtime (cannot avoid it since it's a basic feature in this game).
Did anyone experienced and fixed something like that?

I know that your post is somewhat old, but I'm wondering if you were able to resolve your problem? I just ported over my game to the GS viewer—which ran fine on both the local authoring environment as well as in the web preview—now that it's on the phone, it's running painfully slow! Do you have any insights or best practices that you may have learned to help a brotha out? I'm developing a pinball-centirc type of a game, so the slow-down really kills it for me.
