Hello everyone I have a question if I draw a timer in Photoshop will this work in GS if I import it. Well I know it will work if imported what I'm trying to say is will GS allow me to create an countdown timer with it.

not sure what you mean. You are going to draw like a clock sort of timer? Of course it won't just work. You would need some sort of graphic for each step along the clock. So if it is a full clock face with a hand that ticks down then you'll need to create graphic for each step of the hand, or a better solution would be than the hand rotates a certain amount as time progresses (far less graphics needed for that).

    depends what you want really.

If you look at the cake bake thread I just posted and watch the video there is a timer in that. It is a series of 12 different images that trigger each time the game timer counts down another 5 seconds.

@StusApps thanks for the reply. I'm actually thinking of using a digital timer and I want it to increase in speed as the player advances. I should say I want it to countdown faster and faster. So as long as I have several images of it I should be able to animate correct?

if you want a digital timer then I would create the digital clock graphic and then find a good digital looking font and make the numbers 0-9 all as pngs. Then if you find the custom font for scores tutorial in the shared projects you can adapt it to work with a timer rather than a score.
