Export to xcode?

edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
I just saw the post here: http://gamesalad.com/wiki/developing_for_iphone:convert_to_xcode and it said for the xcode project I'd need to manually upload it... in my manage section I can't see the upload button :( any idea how to get the xcode project of my game?

I really want to edit some of the code behind my game (or even to peer around the code and learn from it)... is this possible?

GameSalad does not give you the code just your game as a .app file.

Although that post leads you to believe it should be possible. But it also says it a draft so maybe it's coming in the future. That would make a lot of people happy. Including me :)

Gahh look at the date though... maybe it was a removed feature?

Yeah Idk Looks like maybe it was something they wanted to do cause i don't think it has ever been in a beta release. they would have had some seriously pissed ppl if they took it away after they had it.

If it was a feature it'd have to be in the pro version, because you could easily take away any of the restrictions (ie: iAd support, custom splash screen)... I don't think I'll be buying the pro version if I don't have access to it. I'm just a control freak and would rather have access to the root files.

Maybe this is one of those "big" new features that can't be discussed about?

As has been mentioned many times, there is no distinct and different source code for each app. They are all exactly the same just with an images and sounds folders and a set of xml files that translate your behaviours and scene layouts and then tell the engine what to do. The engine source code is the same across all GS games. They can't give away the source code to the engine because that is Gendai's complete IP. Someone clever enough could then use this to work out how to publish games without paying anything at all.

Unless the complete way that GS works is changed then there will never be downloadable source code.

I assume that very old link above was from a time before they had the facility to build out apps on their server and the only way was to have people sign and build their own apps on xcode.
