My App is "waiting for review" for over 10 days. Is there something wrong?

My app is is "waiting for review" for over 10 days. The 13th of this month was really really important for my app to be released. Because it is about a TV series in my country and it starts at 13th. But now there is no chance it can be released on the 13th. I've sent an e-mail to apple about this issue 2days ago but no change..

I'm gonna hurt someone...

I've had the exact same issue too, I've had an app waiting for review now for 10 days, and have yet for it to go "in review"

So over the waiting process on this, and it's very unpredictable :(

I'm hoping Monday it goes into review, I was going to contact them, but figured, what good what it do :)

Yeah, that's true :) So I'm hoping that it will go "in review" on Monday, since a lot of times, it gets accepted at the end of the day

Yep, that's been my experience lately. Seems to be at about 10 days before going into review.

I'd imagine they have more than usual because of game center and 4.1

I'd hazard a guess that with the public release of the review guidelines, theyre tightening up the whole process, and trying to bring more consistency to the system.

This probably means having to look at each app more thoroughly, thus leading to an increase in app review times. So I'd be expecting review times to get longer now, which in turn will probably create longer wait times.

To be honest, its been a long time coming.... and if longer app review times are a byproduct of a tighter app store, then it can only be a good thing.

My app had gone to in review in 7 days but it has been in review for over three days. Should the in review process take so long?

Congrats on your first app LordTarantor - I hope it gets approved :)

I've had two apps waiting for 10 days each as well - it's very tense, lol.

last christmas the average wait time for "waiting for review" was 14 days. They closed down for 2 weeks to go through the back order and that got most reviews down to under a week, but it's slowly creeped back up. so 12 days may be slow, but it's nothing out of the ordinary.

12 days isn't at all unheard of - I think as a general rule, one should assume it will take 14 days. (I know it is normally faster, but allowing for longer is obviously better than not, and then being disappointed.)

Remember you should really not count weekends. We all need time off ;)

my latest game took 8 days to go into review and then 3 days to accept. It was accepted 30mins before its release date (uk time)! talk about cutting it fine!

    My apps get accepted

    6 days waiting for review

    1 day in review

    = 7

    ;) that's my regular time

That was my regular time up until the last week.. I think review times are going to be longer until they get accustomed to the new rules of accepting and rejecting apps. Tighter policies means longer review times :(

I also say don't touch it. I thought my game was stuck in limbo, and I rejected and resubmitted, only to be waiting the same 4 days in review. Then, it went straight to approved and ready for sale within 12 hours. Looks like the reviewers at Apple want to fudge the numbers, saying approval times are quicker, but the wait times really remain the same.

Never resubmit unless you find something wrong with your app

You basically go to the back of the line

10 days is not unheard of
