Alright if there is anyone here that could help out that be wonderful. I would like to know about how much would it cost to amimate a 2D character with 11 animations at 30 fps? I just need a rough estimate. That's just one character the game will have 15 in total. Two of the characters will have 11 animations and the rest will consist of 5-6 animations each.

    Its not that simple....

theres quite a few additional details an artist would need.
    1) a list of the animations required (some will take longer to complete than others, based on the complexity of the movement)
    2) pixel sizes of required sprites
    3) description of character (is it human, what clothing etc)
    4) graphical style your hoping for (pixel, cartoony, realistic/detailed)
    5) required timescale to complete the assets.

Also any info you can give on what kind of game your making is also going to be useful to the artist, as it will help them to better understand how the animations will need to work in relation to background art and other sprites.

those details will help the artist to realistically assess the work involved and give an estimate on time involved and cost. Obviously the more complex the character, its movement and the detailing you require, the longer it will take, and the costlier it will be.

that could cost you anything really.. depending on the experience level of the animator. freelancers sometimes do get payed for approved second of animation.. whether that 1 second is 30,24 or 12 fps

i would say.. create a budget in your mind and then look for animators who are willing to work for that amount. for 3D animation your looking at anywhere between 50-300 usd per second, again depending on the quality vs experience your looking for

The characters are not in 3D there 2D and the animations would be 2D as well. They are cartoon style. I just need a estimate because I am currently speaking with someone who is going to be doing the animation I just want to know a price range so I know there not over charging or under charging since it's there first time doing this work.

The animations would consist of the following:

    Walk Left Animation
    Walk Right Animation
    Jumping Up/Down Animation x2
    Death Animation
    Change Animation
    Hit Animation
    Firing Animation x 4

In the x2 I am guessing that falling down will also be considered an animation but if not then I guess I am looking at 10 animations and not 11. Hope this help out a little bit.
