why wont my ipod show up in xcode???

    This happened to me before. Try deleting iTunes from your applications folder and re-installing it. Then connect your device to your computer and it should show up on Xcode. I think that in order for it to show up on Xcode it has to be recognized in iTunes first. Is your device currently showing up on iTunes? If not then do what I said and it'll probably work :)

    Open the Organizer window and see if it is there and needs to be activated.

    You may need to update Xcode as well. There was a new update on the 8th that includes iOS 4.1.

    downloading itunes worked, and i do have the newest version of x code
