Max Scene and actor size?

I remember this being covered but cant find the topic.
Wondering if there's a limit on scene and actor size because i have a scene thats 3840x320 and an actor with a Background image (480x320) the same size but tiled so the Background actor is 3840x320.
Its running fine on both preview and 2nd gen ipod and getting 60 fps but wondering if there's a safe limit i should stick to.

if you check the scene size, that is a real number.

I think that CodeMonkey said it was only limited by memory, i.e. you can have as large a scene as you want as long as it runs smoothly. [ I could completely be making this up but I'm pretty sure that was the answer ].

Im pretty sure my game 'Office Racing' goes bigger than you're test scene, so im sure you'll be fine. I think mine was going to about 10000 by 5000 and didnt really have problems. I cant double check though for you now as im not at my mac
