What is the best way to make iphone4 & ipad game compatible??

Do i have to re-make the whole game for it to work on the ipad if i have already made it for the iphone4. I presume that the iphone 4 will work on all other iphones with the resolution independance... but what about the ipad??

Whats the resolution difference and do i need to just work for the ipad and downsize?

im at a loose end!!

any help would be appreciated...

    You have to make a separate game altogether for the iPad.

    The iPad is larger than the iPhone4 and also a different ratio. The iPhones are widescreen whereas the iPad is 4:3

    Apple will also sometimes reject your iPad app if it is too similar to the iPhone version.
