how might I achieve the raster image deform/warp seen in the iPhone app Wobble?

Hello all,

I am very interested in applying the warp/deform effect seen in the iPhone app Wobble (it lets you define regions on a raster image and then deforms those regions as it gets input from the accelerometer or the user's touch as if they had adopted faux soft-body physics) to a game I am making, but I'm not sure how this effect was achieved. Anyone have any advice as to how I might program an analogous effect using Gamesalad?

Thanks,

CCJ

Link? (need to post example links for reference if you want help...don't make us search. :)

From your description however...doesn't sound like its a possible effect with GS. They are probably morphing the image via OpenGL manipulations...which is raw code scripting.

WOW!!! There is a boob shaking app...
Maybe I WILL search for it now. :)

(unless its cartoon boobies...then what's the point...don't need to see Betty Boop's Boobs)

Yeah, GameSalad cannot currently do bitmap distortions. Would be cool though!

Hmm, okay. Hope they add this feature someday as Wobble is an extremely popular app, and bitmap distortion would be a nice smooth way to fake all sorts of physics effects on sprites.
