edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
I've had a few requests and, i did say i would make it available when i had a chance.

I was gonna upload it to this site but, it is ipad size. So, i just zipped it up and uploaded it to my website.

To download it just hit up my website and you will see a tiny link called "links"at the bottom next to contacts. That will take you to the page i will be uploading things from time to time

The project has has some cool features that are useful i think.
Plus two of anything could battle.... Wizards, Gnomes, zombies with lawnmowers, etc

•Multi touch for two players at once.. each a joystick and shoot button.
•Keep track of lives and display limited ammo
•Health bars for each player
•Adjust levels of music and fx (thanks to FMG for that tutorial)
•Both players (sides) have to confirm to start a match
•A quirky "duplicate the start menus" system for music continuation (maybe better fixes out there but its what i always do)

Feel free to use it for whatever you want with the exception of the music and art(the music and graphics are all my original work and subject to copyright)

BE WARNED... not much it notes so you may have to reverse engineer and trudge through some stuff that i dont even use. SOme of code monkeys original joystick tutorial is in there too!!

Very nice man, thanks for sharing! Might I add, your platformer is looking great, how did you get the 3D effect and not having any slowdown?

    Hmmm...

I just downloaded my zipped file .. double clicked to open (which popped out a GS file)

That new GS file opened fine for me.
I downloaded it fresh from the web so i know im getting the same file you have.

I'm not sure since i can't duplicate the issue?
Maybe if anyone downloaded it with success post to confirm?

This is a great idea. I thought about doing it with Max Vector but it was my first game and I probably did everything wrong... would do more harm to the community than good! I guess I could use it to teach ME, though... people could tell me what I should have done! LOL.

Darren, you should do it with bumps. Then I can change all the bumps to skin-colour and re-release as "Lumps" :-P

Ha ha, maybe one day :), had a few offers for the source but not sure if it's wise to sell it, guess i could take out all music and swap art for blocks :P

That is extremely generous of you, Mr. Zeppelin.

I always find it fascinating to see how some people approach the logic in their games. Some valuable tips may lurk inside!

    Cheers!

    I'm the same way

I look at everything people make downloadable

I go the shared section every few days and look at most of them.

Even the stuff those students release.

I do the same thing with all kinds of open source projects on the web too.. flash, java, etc...

Thanks, very kind of you. James is the game you are programming the 3D platformer on your site?
