I want to have an iPad game (the uploaded file is for iPhone so more people could look at it) where two (or more people) can drag things around at the same time. I am having a really hard time taking the joystick demo and applying those concepts to this game.

If someone can take the time to look it over I would be ever in your debt!

Thanks!

Hey, I have a hockey game (Just Submitted) Thread Here: Click Me!

Can play it here: Click Me!

With Multitouch, and multiple dragging. Maybe you'd like me to send you the project so you can remove all the garbage you don't need?

Starpilots has four things that can drag at once
They are also numbered (lettered) so you can duplicate the process of adding more.
    If it helps

the link it here to the forum post

@ james - just DLed the project and it looks like the multitouch stuff is from codemonkey's joystick demo which is what I used as a starting point for this current project. I cannot figure out what is causing the problems I am having. I had to put the change touch1.x and Y to -100 (the reset part when stick is not grabbed) in the timer that resets "whichstickisgrabbed to 0" or else the actors being dragged would jump to -100,-100. Not sure what the hell is going on.

Mines based on codemonkeys joystick demo too. I'll look into it.

big problem right now is that the touches are not resetting consistently when you release the actor you are dragging.

has anyone done a game where multiple people can drag things around at the same time? In other words, multi touch that does not use codemonkey's joystick demo as a starting point?

Mine does, it also resets perfectly. It's a modified version of CodeMonkeys though. Very slight. If I remember correctly all you have to do is change the touch 1 and touch 2, and the two actors that your moving. When I get home I'll send it to you. Hope this will fix your problems.
