edited November -1 in Announce Your Game!
Submitted my very first game - Rodent Rage today for the iPad. I will be doing an iPhone version shortly after its approved. Here's a new gameplay video albeit a bit shaky and the colours/brightness are off + Youtube just totally degraded the quality. I'm going to do a better hands-on video soon.

----------
Rodent Rage is a Comical physics puzzler where you play the role of raging Lab Rodents on a mission to destroy the white-coated Scientists who have mutated in a freak lab accident.

- 30 Levels, 3 worlds (10 levels each)
- Complete all 10 levels in each world to unlock the next world.
- Score more points by getting rid of the Scientists and saving the Rodents
- Addictive Gameplay

Minigames + more are coming soon in FREE updates!

    Darren.

They're just playing it today actually and enjoying thus far. Said they're constructing feedback now.

But if you already submitted, why are they looking at it as it will be too late now?

    Darren.

Too late? I did tell them I'd be submitting it in a few days, this was last week.

They got back to me and Chillingo likes it, wants 50%, sent contract etc...So I'm thinking about it.

Who knows, with a partnership like that, you may find a developer that will "port" your game to straight xCode...

looks fantastic...my only question is why no alpha transparency on explosions?

Wow... Looks fantastic man! Good job. I have an iPad so I'm looking forward to this. Are you going to release promos or how much will it be?
  • UtopianGamesLtdUtopianGamesLtd Member Posts: 120
What i mean is the app has been submitted under your company name if you then use Chillingo they will want the app to submit and you will have to delete the app (currently no way to delete an app if im correct) so would this not cause a few problems with 2 identical games on the app store and when Chillingo submit it will get rejected because of a name clash etc?

    Darren.

I did have it fading out at one point, I need to get that back in for explosions.

    It'll be 1.99 to start.

Darren, yeah I could take it down as it's still waiting for review. To be honest not sure what to do...50% is a lot!

Yeah, but 100% of nothing is nothing... ;-)

I'm NOT saying your game will fail, I'm just saying that it would probably make more with Chillingo...

Yeah I noticed quite a few games on their site that are very good, I've played them...and you're right: something is better than nothing ;)

I would take it down and go with chillingo if they are offering to help for 50% they must know it's worth it.

It's a tough decision, I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons.

    Dude, your game looks great!

Do it by yourself, don't ever think about Chillingo! ;)
  • TouchTiltGamesTouchTiltGames Member Posts: 1,162
Thanks, Andreib..I am leaning more towards self-publishing I think.
  • DevilsDevils Member Posts: 561
I would suggest you go with them think about it I'm not sure what they are offering but if they offer to promote the game for you, you have nothing to loose just ask them to handle there share of the taxes and you get your cut plus you can use that money to start a better game. In my opinion realistically how much time did you put into the game 2-3 months it will be worth it watching your game rise up to the top 100 which I am sure they will not offer to help if they did not think it could make it up there. This is just my 2 cents on the matter.

  • TouchTiltGamesTouchTiltGames Member Posts: 1,162
It's waiting for review now! Should be out this week if all goes well.

I'm doing 3 mini games for it now, almost done. When they are I'll do the iPhone version :)

Nice!! Cant wait to play it. It looks like a lot of time and effort has gone into your game.
  • ChaserChaser Member Posts: 1,453
looks awesome! no wonder it seemed like it took forever for you to get this done
  • TouchTiltGamesTouchTiltGames Member Posts: 1,162
Yeah it's my first game, did the art and dev myself with the help of some of the guys on the GS forums when I needed it of course.

I imagine my next game won't take as long...but that depends on how complex I want it to be of course.
