Hello everyone,

As I am getting closer and closer to the finish of "Fireworx" the thought has been bouncing through my head.

"How do they work?"
"No idea."
"Ask the forums."
"Too much effort..." :D

Anyway, so can someone please give me a quick overview on how to save and load attributes?

Cheers, Dragokillz

p.s. I'm not sure if im blind but I couldn't find anything in the wiki.

It IS in the wiki but not very well described. From my trial and error I found out that to make them work properly, I had to save each Attribute to it's own Save Key. So somewhere in your game you need to make things save. Then on your title screen you need an actor with a bunch of Load Attributes, and load each key separately. So saving should look something like:

Save Attribute "game.HighScore" to key "HighScore"

and then do exactly the same for the Load! You can change the key to whatever you like, but I usually keep them the same as the Attribute to avoid confusion when you have about 100 of them (if you need that many)

Unless of course you have multiple save slots then you need a different key for each slot and when you click on what game slot you want to load it should only save using the keys designed for that slot.

Haha yeah, I was just assuming he only wanted the one save slot!

Yeah most of the time i would do just one but there have been games where i wanted to show someone and let them play but i wasn't done. That would have come in real handy if they had set it up like that.
