I need to know when you create an image in PS and its in the .png format with a transparent background will it export to GS and allow me to change size? Can I still change the size without loosing quality? If I create the word "Start" can I do these changes to it without any issues?

You can only decrease the size without losing quality. If you try to increase then it will become pixellated.

Well I just create the text and when I saved it and sent it to GS it was sent really huge so I used those little circles on the GS screen and it made the word really tiny. What can I do to fix this? Is there a certain size your suppose to use for text in PS that you can then export to GS? I opened a new window in the size of 320x480 when I did the text and thats how big it looked in GS also.

Well if that window size was what you saved...that would be the size imported.
Did you Crop to image size before you saved? (that's the Gimp don't know PS but probably similar.)

I like the clarity of display of larger text scaled down...and often import large and just set the size for display with the [Change Attribute] self.size.Width = (self.size.Width)/2 (or /4 or /whatever) and likewise with Height attribute.

The text font-size you use depends on what you use it for...your Title is probably a larger font-size than your "Start".

I found that you can keep your quality and decrease file size by "saving for web & devices" its under file. I have had blurry images and this was a really easy fix!

Thanks a lot. I didn't know you could use the change attributes to adjust image sizes as well. As for the web & devices I will give that a go as well.

Ps also has a trim feature once ur done creating ur image go to the image menu and select trim and u can trim away all of the unused space around the image then go to save for web and devices select png-8 and adjust the number of colors until ur happy with the image verus file size unless u have shadows in the image then select png-24 after u save the image download and run imageoptim and drag ur image to this program and it will make ur file size smaller
