Match 3 examples?

I am working on a match 3 type game and am looking for an example of how to set up the rules for the following.

1. To get two actors to switch places (i.e. you click one, then the other and they swap places).
2. To get the actors to recognise the actors next to them and destroy themselves if they match.

Has anyone sorted this out already?

Thanks!

To make grid-based puzzle games, you generally need to use a programming construct called an Array. Specifically, a two-dimensional array.

It will be extremely difficult/impossible to make a decent match 3 game with GameSalad right now without them.

    Hi FireMapleGames!
Thank you for that :) I was coming to the same conclusion, but I was hoping someone out there was cleverer than I.
