Help with the "other" in memory use

First time I can't find the answer with a forum search.

So even with a blank ipad project i get 45-55 in the "other" it goes down a little with an iphone project but not much.
I have tried to reinstall GS several times but no change, so that does not seem to be the way to solve it.
This sucks because I was done with my first game and ready to send it, but it crashes after some longer play times.
The "other" goes up into almost 100 in the final game which is doubling the memory right out the gate.

Any help would great, and thanks to everyone in the forums with all the searches that got this game finished.

So cool first time on the forum and I get tshirtbooth as my reply.

I know all the image rules, my problem is the "other" part as I said a blank project with no images, no actors, no nothing starts out with 45-55 in the "other" memory part.

I need to know why this number is so high, I have seen most peoples run at a 5 or so.

As I have said all would be great without this high number in the "other" memory.

What kind of ipad you are using?
If you use the iPhone simulator, the result will be wrong!

@tshirt: those sizes do not need to be squares. 1024x32 is fine too...

I do use the simulator, I can't seem to get the viewer to work on my ipad. It always stop on the loading project screen.
So if the simulator is wrong would that be the 45-55MB in the "other" space I keep seeing?
