edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
I've been working on developing a new game for the past hour and it seems the longer i work on it the more the editor lags... The lag is most noticeable when switching between Scenes and is unbearable. Is there someway to keep this from happening?

Unfortunately, not. Most here will recommend that you save often, quit and reopen GS Creator often. That is what I do too. ^_^

Is this a bug the GS staff are planning on fixing?

Yes, I am very confident that they will have this fixed in the next update.

Honestly, I can't wait for this to be fixed. Sometimes it makes GameSalad such a chore to use. Looking forward to the next update, fingers crossed.

@ Stryker - yes there is a memory leak so the UI will get slower and slower, so depending on how many times you access the UI, most people need to quit and restart Game Salad about every 15 mins. The GS team are aware of this and its on their radar for a fix.

Also remember that this software is Beta, so a word of advice, My number 1 tip: Save your files on a regular basis and make back-ups of your proj files as you progress into your development.

I literally quit and reopen GS every minute.
My last game was such a beast, tha tI could only edit a single Rule
    before it got slow.

Very frustrating indeed! Totally breaks my concentration.
I am sure they are aware of it and are working on the issue.

When they fix it, it will be my favorite update by far!
