A question about scoring

Hi all, hope you're well.
I found out about GameSalad today, rushed home from work to try it out, and several hours later I have a very simple game, based on the Asteroids template, almost done that I'm quite proud of!
Hurrah!
I've hit a stumbling block though, and having looked briefly through the forums and the wiki, I've not found a solution. Therefore, I turn to you, fellow developers!
Essentially, I'm having trouble with the scoring system. When you die, you're taken to a GAME OVER screen, and asked if you want to play again or not.
If you select yes, I've rigged it so that the scores are set to 0 and lives are set back to 10, and you get taken back to the level 1 ready screen, bypassing the splash screen and title screen (i.e. straight back into the action!). Unfotunately, when you start playing again, it's with the same score you just got and your lives are less than 0 ending the game immediately again and taking you to the Game Over screen.
If you select NO at the game over screen you get taken to the splash screen and then the title screen. If you start a game from here, the scores and lives are reset just fine, but if you die, it skips the Game Over screen completely and starts you off at the splash screen again.
What do you think I'm doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And while I'm here, anyone got a high score system working? I can't imagine it being too hard to do...
Thanks in advance!

Rule: Mouse Button down, and mouse position: over actor. or a button or something else
Change Scene: "To your scene"
Change attribute: "the name of the score" 0
Change attribute: "the name of the lives" 10
thats how i think it should be, and i you made it like that and it doesn't work i don't know what to do.

Essentially that's what I've done. Except I've made the Yes/No buttons shootable i.e. you shoot the 'YES' to change the scene.
I'll have another look at it today. The YES and NO buttons disappear for some reason when you shoot them.
Bah.
Thanks again for the reply - it kind of cements my idea that I'm on the right track - just need to fix it somehow!
Cheers,
