My second iPad game waiting for approval...took 3 days to complete this!

Hi guys, just thought I'd let you all know of my upcoming game yet to be reviewed by apple. Just submitted yesterday.

This game I did was a challenge I took up to complete in 1 day like Stusapps' cake bake, but alas I am not as good and dragged it to 3 days.

I'm doing up the iPhone version now and hopefully will get it submitted tonight.

Reviving an old post here... this game has been in the store since yesterday and sales has been quite encouraging... 139 paid downloads on day 1.

Currently no. 1 under ipad Simulation category....in Singapore store though... really a small market there.

It's a really simple game for young children. I actually made it for my 3 year old niece to play.

fingers crossed this should hold on to rankings pretty well. cake bake consistently pulls in good money every day and this should do the same (your day 1 figures sound similar to mine).

Before this game I was bogged down with another time management game which had been in development for 2 months.... it's currently shelved because of memory issues and the app crashing..I finally gave it up...sigh...

I had no end of problems with hotel rush doing this. In the end I really had to reduce the size of the graphics files to conserve memory. Literally resize everything over 50kb to about 60% of original size and it scraped through below 40mb on older devices.

Ahh...maybe I should dust off that shelved game of mine and work on resizing the graphics like what you have done.....but then again....the pull factor of doing another "quick-turnaround-time" game really sounds so much better than slogging away at a 2 month old project...

Anyway on another note, I just found out this simple game has been featured on new and noteworthy for the Kids and Simulation category!

I'll update this post with the download numbers (maybe for a week) to see how games such as this does at the appstore.

Do note that this game is currently only for the iPad.

Download figure update for day 2: 101 paid downloads. Lower than the first day of launch but it's encouraging nonetheless.
