I decided to try my hand at some graphic design as a way to raise the money i need to start selling apps. Would you be willing to pay for custom graphics and backgrounds that look like this? if yes then how much would you pay?

The above is just an example, i would put more time into commissions, the lines wouldn't be so sloppy... etc.

Thanks,

    I'm surprised no one has an opinion. =P

    I'm sure somebody may be looking for your style it just takes a while sometimes as many of us are artists. Reminds me of Maisy Mouse.

    I can see someone here using art like that. :) I personally don't have a need though.

    What style of art is the highest seller? I can replicate pretty much any cartoon style...

    Ian at debug design's style of art is very popular. Theres a huge thread on it but basically this is his portfolio. Its a bit out of date now as he has done lots of projects since but you can view it here;

    Hmm... I wasn't going to pursue that style until after I bought illustrator...

    Being different pays off, a game with a unique style of art probably has a higher chance of catching someones eye. Ian's style looks good but it looks like the majority of app styles out there. I'm trying to jump of the band wagon and start a new trend. =P

    I appreciate everyones advice and guidance.

    Your best bet would be to knock up a portfolio showing different examples of styles you've done. People love to see a few examples , if you do different styles, show a few different pieces in each style.
