Pay income taxes?

I'm still new to this whole thing so i was wondering about the business side of selling apps on itunes.

Do I have to pay income taxes on any sales I makes?
Do I have to register as a small business?
Are there any other steps I have to take to legalize the whole thing?

Any help would be appreciated, especially from other Canadian's.

Thanks

I'm from the UK, so might not be the best of help but will try!

Do I have to pay income taxes on any sales I makes? Yes, usually you have to register as self employed
Do I have to register as a small business? No, you can register as a personal entitiy
Are there any other steps I have to take to legalize the whole thing? Nope, only the forms that Apple provide you with during signup/set up

    Hope that helps! :)

I'm from Australia but we both have GST.

So, as Red said, you'll have to pay income taxes - unless you are below the threshold in which case you'll still have to file a return.

Now, you DO need to be able to charge GST - Apple handles that but you need to legally be able to as well; that means you need to be either a small business or get the equivalent of an ABN. (Australian Business Number).

I'm not sure what you call them there but they're required for people who are registered for GST.

I hope I didn't just make this more confusing for you >.<'
