Because of the meeting thing happening im guessing there will be an update soon. So think i should not start my game until the update? And can i start making my game before im even an express user?
The update is just supposed to be a performance increase. They are rewriting the scenegraph (the underlying engine) to get some more speed. They also said they are going to add in pause functionality.
Once those are in place, I assume they will start trying to implement GameCenter in future updates.

But for $99 to test on an actual iDevice... you can't go wrong. Plus, you'll need to get your Apple Developer license for another $99 (just in case you weren't aware of it).
glad I'm not the only one with the lag, close and reboot trouble.
Fix the memory leak first! That seems like priority 1 in my book. It will increase productivity for us and shouldn't cause many compatibility issues for previous versions of the software (I would suspect).

I usually dread them..
Yes, me too... and the more I think about it, what are we going to do in 2 years when we all have tons of games published and they release an update that breaks everything? We will no longer be able to perform any maintenance on our games without upgrading them to the newest version of GS. I really really dislike that they hold onto the server code that builds the actual app. I would like to be able to generate my own executable on my machine against whatever version of GS I choose.

I wouldn't let it hold you back.
(X = the number of times GS has crashed..........)

The Scene Graph is the designer, aka where you place the actors........
Or wait...
I am really worried about my old projects, there are compatibility problems!
