Virtual Pet Game - Is it possible on GS?

I am thinking of designing a Virtual Pet Game using GS.

My questions are:

Is it possible to save the players progress? (save feature) So I can make a user experience of raising a pet.

Has this been done on GS?

When you say virtual pet - are you imagining something like those little toys? "Tamagotchi" or whatever they're called?

If so, there'd be an issue with time passing while the user isn't running the app.

I'm not sure if this is where you're going with this or not; but a lot of people ask and currently it can't be done with GS.

Can this be done with GS? (the internet clock)

no clock in current version of GS

You can probably fake the clock

I would be cool if GS could work with the internet clock.

You can save game progress with the Load/Save attribute behaviors.

    Hi CodeMonkey.

A "Time" behavior would be better. It could be used to track virtual pet progress, based on iOS device time, when the app is not in action.

It could also be great for an RPG game. If you play World of Warcraft, the game's time follows the server's time. So, when it's night in reality, it's night in the game.

With dynamic hyperlinks added, the time value could be used for encryption, allowing for webmasters to implement a web based ranking system.

Yeah! I really would like to see "Time" behavior, like Photics said!

yeah, and time is usefull for other things...could be used as seed for Random function.
