mysterious "1 pixel line"

I have a + shaped image
The Y axis is 1 pixel wide and runs vertical down the center
The X axis is 1 pixel wide and runs horizontal through the center.

Now I can see the Y axis 1 pixel line, but the X axis 1 pixel line does not appear.

any thoughts on this, or is there some weird property of GS that I do not know about?

(they're black lines if this helps anyone)

    What is the x and y position of the instance?

    it is actual apart of an image that is moved, so the x and y are always changing
