Word of warning about reserved App names...

So today one of my reserved names expired.
I had started working on a game right before starting on my Grisly Manor game. I had made some progress on the App before I shifted gears to work on GM. So I reserved the App name in the App Store hoping to come back to it later and finish it.
A few weeks ago, Apple changed their policy and put a 120 day limit on the reservation.
Which does prevent name squatting of course, but 4 months is a little severe. Using GameSalad makes 4 months seem like an eternity, but I can only imagine that larger companies are going to complain about that. Especially if they have to put together marketing campaigns, etc.
I was hoping that the name would be thrown back into circulation and I could just re-grab it, but apparently not.
Anyway, I got this email from them today:
You did not upload a binary for your app, _________, during the 120-day grace period. As a result, the app has been deleted from iTunes Connect.
This app cannot be restored, nor can you use the App Name or SKU for any other app under your account in the future.
Just something to consider!

Once the time is up, you can never use it again.
You have 120 days to submit your fully functional app.

Change the name to something like SCITEST1
That will get deleted.
The quickly upload a new app with the correct name.
That will buy you another 120 days.
Are you sure you cant registre it again?
Apparently, even deleting them yourself means the SKU and app name will NOT be reusable.
WTF? /rage >.<'
