If they don't respond to a 14 page thread, don't get your hopes too high for this one :)
  • ChaserChaser Member Posts: 1,453
Guess it's more of a statement. I never get my hopes too high with GS just thought I'd lay it out in a nice clear thread.

Well, they can't just blurt out a response. They have to all talk it over, talk to the money men, talk some more, have lunch, talk some more, decide what they are going to do, talk to the money men some more, then get the decision approved, written up, approved, talk some more, and then finally come to a decision.

Then the decision has to go through a 3 stage approval process where each part is approved, stamped, approved again, sent back for review, and finally, after everyone agrees that we in fact do not need to put hamburger mix into the gasoline engine, they go to sleep. A job well done.

Something like this, only completely different. And without the sleep and the lunch.

Wow that's all you have to say!
I feel the care just pouring out of your salad dressing. NOT!

    They just don't get it.

I guess they have all been losing sleep over the potential of a family friendly response like today. Perhaps next week...when about 90% of the users have gone elsewhere...they won't have as many 1 liners to sling around.

You won't see family friendly posts like this on the Corona Forums...that is a GUARANTEE!!! There they actually try to help you understand their software...and their road map to the future.
  • Rob2Rob2 Member Posts: 2,402
    they never did

edit..don't do that to me...you ruined the scan :)
  • LAdrianLAdrian Member Posts: 237
Man really, this is just plain disrespectful... I can't even start to imagine how little and insignificant we all are for them
  • ChunkypixelsChunkypixels Member Posts: 1,114
Well, to be fair...they are on the verge of destroying their business.... so I expect they'll need time to have a good think about what they want to say...

We should be pretty used to silence from them by now anyway....

But yup... It might make a nice change, if just for once, they see sense and actually communicate with us properly....

I have seen the odd furious posting on the Corona forum with a wacked out coder going at the Staff and all they did was reason him down and sort the logic :)....oh yeah and fix the bug ..

it's crazy that there are so many of us saying what we would be willing to pay them per year or for Pro or what have you but the only we don't want to pay them is the only option they have offered us it is BS and it is obvious we all agree on that hundreds of people willing to throw money at them but they want to take are creations and make them there own if this occurs gamesalad will no longer be a development platform and it will just be a middleman wanting to take what we worked so hard to build and for one hope they see are anger and are considering another option any other option.

All jokes aside if you guys have time to come on the forums and say things like that maybe you should take the time to acknowledge your customers with a proper statement as to WTF! is going on with GameSalad Direct Pro or whatever you want to call it. It be common curtesy.

So we have no idea exactly what the details are.

There could potentially be a "Pro" version that allows us to publish under our own names. Hell we don't even know how this whole thing works, maybe they have a special deal with Apple that gives us a brand if we choose. All of this might be unlikely, but thats not the point. It further prooves the point that we DO NOT KNOW YET.

There is a major problem in the lack of information, which is now going to be addressed (Refer to yellow post here: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=11822&page=4).

I love this community but it seems to be everyone else is being a d@#$. What he said may be sarcastic, but im sure its completely accurate, not to mention it was his response to everyone else being a complete sarcastic a&%.

We are all aware that they have now officially moved into big business which takes a lot more effort and time and hoops to jump through.

Everyone is letting their anger get the best of them on something we don't know the full details of. Why don't we sit back and wait for a much needed real response instead of bickering and turning this forum upside down.

Everyone is reacting to the information that THEY posted. We don't have all of the information, because they didn't provide it. They gave us the bad, and everybody is reacting accordingly. Provide the upsides of this change, and everyone will form their opinions on what information is provided.

Do you think the community would be this family friendly if communication errors weren't so prevalent? No.

And when everyone is told their job or hobby that they count on is being changed to a point that most users will no longer be using it, I think "family friendly" is the appropriate response.

    @eastbound

Agreed. The lack of communication is overwhelming so hopefully that is fixed and soon.

However, no one is loosing their hobby or job. Gamesalad is not the only way to iPhone apps, it's just the easiest and most efficient. Many of the users here have built a business and brand And hopefully GS will have an option to keep the brand. If they don't, I completely back up calling BS but these users will still be able to make iPhone apps, just have to use a different tool.

Back to communication, they seriously need to get the info flowing because we need to know if this tool will be no good for these pro users.

Seriously, I get emails and texts all the time sent to my iPhone, yet I can respond even if it's, "I'll get back to you" and "Busy right now." And these are people who are not paying me or who I have a recurring PayPal subscription with. These are friends, family, and acquaintances, some recently from here in the past 27 hours alone.

There's no other way I can describe it other than blatant disregard and lack of common courtesy. And this is coming from someone who's supposedly on the inside!

You know, when I first joined up, I thought the yellow posts were cutesy, humorous, and a tease. Now, it's really become a tired joke that needs to be put down, quickly. In some ways, you're acting like a startup, but you seem to have more red tape than my state government.
