I love the way unity looks and feels, I have seen some games made with it and they are extremely all ending up to be successful!

All I gotta do is learn how to use Unity

Anyother engines?

Unity is indeed really good, but also much more expensive and difficult to learn.

so here we are instead! ;-)

Any gamemaker that uses programming and C++ will look like that demo they show on their web site. They just have a game engine pre-made for rendering good graphics. You can make a game with any game maker if it uses C++ or other programming language. You are just waisting your time if you think its going to be easier than gamesalad.

    Does Unity require any coding?

I've been playing around with GS for a week now and I'm definitely piqued by the speed and ease of use. I've also looked at Unity... it would take a LOT for me to spend that kind of money. Like it would have to be nearly as easy as GS.

Also hello... I think there's a section of this forum for introducing oneself and I'll get to that soon... but for the time being I will mention that I design graphics, illustration, music composition/production & sound design, as well as have many years under my belt in graphic animation (IE I am used to being very economical with motion graphics) -- so you could see why GS would seem like a miracle to me. I've seen some really good things made in it, and while I worry a little about the speed of things one then get on the iOS, I'm hoping to be able to work around it enough to make it worth while.

As an aside, I think it's very refreshing to see such a mainstream celebrity digging into game design like this
    ;-)
(first lame joke and highly unlikely to be the last)

Unity is an awesome game engine. I have been using it myself and was actually where I got started in learning iOS development. However, it requires a higher level of coding knowledge than Gamesalad.

If you need a relatively easy game engine for 3D games, Unity is the way to go. However, for 2D games, you will be using alot of tricks to make it 2D.

For the 2D game I currently am working on, Gamesalad has cut my development time way way down compared to Unity.
