Can anyone point me in the right direction of a tutorial that would help me make a FPS with GameSalad. I am just trying to get a understanding out how you would go about designing the characters and animating them and so on. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

If you mean a 3D FPS, can't be done. You could do a static screen FPS or a 2D scrolling one, like Operation Wolf... you could do a 2.5D game like Operation Thunderbolt, but anything 3D isn't possible with GS, sorry.

I suggest opening up GS and having a mess around. It's actually very user friendly and pretty easy to work out what the behaviours do etc... when you have a more specific request, come back and ask and the members here will be more than happy to help but a "how do I make this game" type question is a little general as there is a LOT to it ;-)

Have a look through the tutorials, too.. there may not be one for the type of game you need but once you start looking inside other projects, things start to make sense and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve!

EDIT: As for your character animation etc, check out Pixen. It's a great tool for sprite design/animation and it's FREE!
  • I remember the days of 2D FPS games. Good times. Sorry, I don't know of a tutorial.

Thanx for your help. ill take a look at those games and see if my idea can be done that way. I have only been playing around with GS for like a week, and its very user friendly. Some practice never hurt anyone. Thanx again.
