Hi guys. I have yesterday submitted my latest game. It is a Halloween themed game and as such decided to try my hand at a game in a day challenge seeing as a Halloween game will have a limited appeal and time frame. I made the game over 4-6 sessions but probably spending about 24 hours in all on it.

Thanks to tshirtbooth as the idea is based around one of his demos.

Here's a video for it;

I havent uploaded for a while to itunes connect, when i look at the game it says 'upload recieved', do i need to do anything to send it to review?

I may over the weekend port it to the iPad as well. Whats the general rules about this? I know if you have it selected in landscape for example then it must work both ways. Whats the easiest way to achieve this? Do you just select both landscape options in every scene and GS takes care of the rest or do you have to wrap everything in rules saying if landscape right is true then .....

Thanks

    Not sure i entirely understand the purpose of the game... but the graphics look really nice. As always i would be interested to hear how the sales do (after it gets accepted).

    Its like fruit ninja, just swipe all the items but avoid swiping the knifes. If you miss an object that isnt a life, you lose a life, once you've lost 3 or swiped a knife its game over.

    Cheers

    Game looks great! Nicely done!

    Just a FYI, the plural of "knife" is "knives"...

    I guess "knifes" could technically be used as a word - but only as a verb: Jack knifes Bob in the prison yard...

    Thanks Joe!

    Of course it is! D'oh! Thats what you get for making your video at work in your real full time job! Ha.

    GS seems to take care of most of it. The big thing is accelerometer. X is always X and Y is always Y and - and + do not seem to get flipped so you have to do rules or you will tilt to the left and your actor will go right. But this game doesn't appear to use the accelerometer so I think GS will take care of it.

    Thanks Sci. Seeing as how i dont use the accelerometer this shouldnt be a problem.

    Now does anyone know if i have to do anything to the app to get it to be 'waiting for review'? Its currently at 'upload recieved' and has been for a day now.

    So this is a "tap to remove" game with slicing...that doesn't actually slice? Not trying to be rude, I just think that you'd be best served by at least creating a "sliced" copy of all the images and have the pieces shoot away from the original sliced actor. Would be more satisfying than the current iterations magical ability to make stuff fade to invisible using only expertly sharpened finger nails... ;-)
  • Very pretty looking game. Well done on the art!

    @BarkBark, thanks for your comments. This was a game in a day challenge to myself, its window pane for sales is not big being halloween themed, i wasnt prepared to spent that much time or money on it.

    @daniel.robert.campbell, thanks :)
