Problem....app crashing

Working on an app for a client and it seems the memory is maxing out and so it's crashing.

When i have resolution checked.

Images 5.6 mb Total 37.2

When i don't have reso checked.

Images 22.2 mb

Total 51.8mb...this makes it crash.

I know the problem is the art..the artist tried to make resolution art but got the sizes wrong so it looks blurry if resolution is checked.

Anyone know a safe maximum for ram total as i'm guessing 51.8 is far beyond what my device can handle.

    Hi Darren

    What model is it? I know the old 3G will crash at around 40mb, i think the 3GS is around 50mb (im less sure of that one). Tis annoying when it crashes!

    iPod 2nd gen (it hardy works at all on my old 3g)

    Maybe try this; when your game is over (you lost or you won) don't let the game reset the scene but use the "change scene" atribute. I hope this will help you:)

    My images folder for that scene is only 4.4 mb but for some reason in the previewer it shows 22.2 mb

    I will crack it....
