Thanks, guys! I really worked hard on this one! Thanks to all those out there who made all those demos that helped me out so much on this one! You guys are the best!
Nice job Just goes to show it's not even a matter of rather or not game salad is a good tool. Its rather or not someone puts in the time and attention to the little details that make a good game.
And sorry I just posted on the other post, I didn't realize there was a new thread for the n and n
I feel like it is worth the $1.99 price, but maybe it would be wise to drop it while it is in N&N.
What do you guys think?
As some of you may have noticed I'm a firm believer that games on the iPhone should be $0.99 that's just my opinion. I would lower it while it's in the N&N and watch it rise to the top. I told FMG to do the same he went from $2.99 to $1.99 and I'm pretty sure he saw an increase in sales. I personally think that if you have a great looking game for that price point "Tier 1" it will do it justice.
Edit: Congrats on making it to the N&N Worthy section.

I think I am going to see how it does tomorrow and then seriously consider dropping it to $.99
I would do it I always said that all my games will be a tier 1 category I don't care how much it cost me to make them. I think games stand a better chance at that price point just my opinion not saying it so people can argue about it. Good Luck with your sales as soon as I get an iTunes Gift Card I will also purchase your game looks interesting. If you would post some of your sales and let us know how it's doing that be sweet.
Day 1 (No N&N) - $34 Day 2 (No N&N) - $41 Day 3 (No N&N) - $23 Day 4 (No N&N) - $6 Day 5 (No N&N) - $4 Day 6 (N&N for a few hours) - $26 Day 7 (Today) - no sales data but Rank has not risen much
Depending on how today goes I think I should lower the price to $.99. What do you guys think?

absolutely.
I dont know why people in the forums pretend there is no difference between .99 and 1.99
Read reviews. People care about that dollar so much its insane. Look how worked up they get over 1 dollar. IT MATTERS!!!!
Also there is just waaaaay to much competition at .99 look right in the N&N section above and below you? You are trying to get people to give your game a chance, right? Why would they pick yours over megablocks, robot unicorn, cartoon wars, super pirate, mech war, etc (and thats not even half your N&N competition)
Lots of people only buy a game once or twice a week. Give them a reason to make it yours.
I absolutely 100% promise you that people have been considering your game along with 3 others and ultimately narrowed it down to a .99 game. Not 100% guarentee they would go with papa if it was less but the odds go up.
Maybe it would be different if 3,426 people were just been dying for the release date and are gonna buy it no matter what. It's a great game but thats just not the case.

I started my game out at $1.99, when I dropped it to 99c, there was no increase in downloads/sales, so ultimately I cut my profit in half.

You may not see an increase at all due to the fact that you still have other games at .99 to compete with.
It doesn't matter if a game is "good enough" to be higher priced. The only concern for an unkown is doing every single thing possible to convince folks to try it.
They may or may not but, being more expensive that 7 or 8 other games right next to you DOES NOT increase the odds. It's pure logic.

Well, it's possible your sales would have gone down instead of stay steady. I don't think you can know for sure, and each case is going to be different. I think Sci made a smart move... we'll see.

.99c = 29.99
1.99= 59.99
The way people review apps, you would think they spent that much!
It never ceases to amaze me how people whine about spending a DOLLAR.
I've dropped $50 bucks on games that I've either played in one sitting, or never opened, and don't whine about it!
