♣ Question about: getting featured ♣

couple of weeks ago I released my first app, Im about to release an update that drasticly changes gameplay, enviroment, menu design and some collectables.

so my question...
Can you get featured or end up in the new and noteworthy section by releasing a major update?

    I've seen games games one year old get featured.
    Apple has guidelines for exactly what you need to do.

    Make sure to read all of the official development documentation.

    They also have pretty major announcements and updates a couple times a month.
