♣Game crashes on older devices♣

Hi everyone,

Im experiencing a lot of trouble with gamesalad on older devices. 2 months ago i published my first game, 3 weeks ago I saw the game crashes on a ipod touch 3rd gen 8GB, and lower, and the iphone 3g.

Are you experiencing crashes on the older devices?

Can i send my game to anyone for help?
(I absolutely tried anything to prevent a crash: Lowering amount of actors, delete constrain attributes and checked for unused attributes)

    Yeah. One of our apps is crashing on startup on older devices.

    I'm assuming it's a memory issue.

    When you run it in the viewer via the editor, what is your total memory usage.

    I'm sure if it's hitting over 40meg, that could cause issues on older devices.

    yep most of the time it crashes at 46mb
    I can play the game twice.. and.... CRASH
    Hope gamesalad fixes it soon

    That's not a gamesalad problem necessarily. At 46mb you would crash a 2G ipod touch or iphone 3G as it would be out of RAM, regardless of what you used to make the game. On a 3GS though you should have more, but looking through a few forum threads elsewhere it seems under iOS 4 some 3GS users are having crashes anywhere betweeen 40 and 60mb.

    Yes it is,
    First time i play it says 26mb
    second time 46
